Where to recycle RIGID PLASTICS
and how to prepare it in Douglas County, Oregon


What is rigid plastic?
Rigid plastic is any form of plastic other than film (bags and wrap) and Styrofoam.  Rigid Plastic can be formed into any shape and has may purposes.  In Douglas County, all rigid plastic can be recycled through our partnership with Sunrise Enterprises and their buyers.  It does not matter what number appears on the container.  #1-7 are accepted.  Rigid Plastics include:

  • Bottles
  • Lids
  • Packaging
  • Tubs
  • Toys
  • Jars
  • Trays
  • Cups
  • Buckets

How do I recycle rigid plastic?
Rigid Plastic is easy to recycle.  Make sure it is clean.  The process to recycle plastic never exceeds 300 degrees, so whatever you put in comes out.

Where do I recycle my rigid plastic?
Rigid Plastic is accepted all over the community of Douglas County.

  • Curbside
    • Roseburg Disposal (all plastics)
    • Southern Oregon Sanitation (Reedsport, bottles only)
  • Community Depots
    • Winston (by Riverbend Park)
    • Winchester Bay Marina
    • Sunrise Depot on W. Harvard
    • Sunrise Depot on Carnes Rd.
  • ALL Douglas County Transfer Stations except Slide Creek
  • Downtown Roseburg Recycle Stations:
    • Parking Garage
    • Behind Downtown Fitness
    • Behind Bagel Tree
    • Across from Post Office

Please Rinse and Flatten
No Motor Oil or Food Contamination
