Recycling Education and Awareness Page

Douglas County's Waste Reduction Manager is ready and waiting to visit your school!  We provide programs on recycling (3R's), composting, worms, conservation, and citizenship.

Presentations are available for all grade levels and can be personalized to meet your curriculum needs.  These visits can be tied into inspiring new recycling programs in your school or encouraging existing programs.

We can assist you at every step in organizing recycling programs and events in your schools.

Springtime seems to be the busiest time for us, so scheduling fall and winter presentations would be preferred.

Presentations include power point shows, activities, games, interaction, prizes, and fun.

  • Formally recognize schools for their waste reduction achievements.
